The CR 148 IM is an open-end roll bending machine with three drive rolls. The two outside rolls are hydraulically positioned to achieve the required radius.
Roll position held in position by check valve hydraulic system.
An electronic material detection photo-eye is standard and can be used to determine the starting point of the program. A pneumatic encoder positioning system is utilized to allow for easy loading and unloading of the material. Programmed movements of both rolls positions also assist in the loading and unloading process to increase production.
Unlimited hard drive / disk storage of programs in either single pass with 36 radii or multi-pass.
The operator enters the required radius and degree of bend for each individual bend and straight section of the part or by entering chord height and length or by automatic program development using the outside dimensions of the parts for several common shapes.
Machine housing and frame are constructed of heavy G30 cast iron mounted on an electro welded sheet metal base with Shafts, and pinions are constructed of nickel chromium steel that is heat-treated and ground, mounted in grease lubricated dynamic tapered bearings.
Side guide rolls are mounted outside the bending rolls and manually adjustable for controlling the pitch of a coil or for correcting a natural twist in the bent part. Optional automatic programmable pitch control.
The model CR 148 IM operates in a horizontal or vertical bending position bending plane.
